Adopted by two lawyers, Sean E. Rees followed in his parents’ footsteps and became an attorney. Sean understands that clients need someone to lean on during difficult times and makes sure clients are kept up to date with their cases. He will guide you through your case, provide updates, and competent legal representation. Sean is committed to providing his clients with quality representation. His practice consists primarily of criminal law, family law, and civil litigation.

Sean received his Juris Doctor from Western Michigan University Cooley School of Law in 2015. He graduated law school Cum Laude and received the Leadership Achievement Award for his leadership roles in school organizations. Prior to law school, Sean attended the University of Illinois and Illinois State University. Prior to becoming an attorney, he frequently worked at his family’s law firm. Sean gained experience in criminal law as a student-lawyer with his law school’s criminal defense clinic through the Kent County Office of the Defender. As a student-lawyer, he assisted clients with drug charges, violent crimes, and participated in jury trials.

Sean enjoys time with his wife, son and daughter, attending community events, bowling in league, and watching his favorite movies or tv shows, such as Loki, and anything else Marvel related. He can be found going for walks with his family, or grabbing a bite to eat at his favorite local restaurants.
